The Land of Ozz

Caden is doing great. He is over his cold and back to being an energetic 13 month old. Things are progressing pretty fast with his motor skills. He is rolling over onto his bell more often and we expect to see him sit up on his own any day now. He will also go from lying on his back to a standing position with assistance from us pulling on his hands. He stands for a few seconds with us holding his hands until we get excited and say “yeah”. Then he plops down and waits to do it again so he can get the exciting reaction from us all over again. His progress and healing from this recent cold are truly blessings. Thank God for his work in Caden’s life and in our family through your prayers.

I am going to be posting updates for Caden’s Page over here at the Land of Ozz for a little while. I am going to be changing the software that Caden’s Page runs on due to some recent technical difficulties. I want to keep Caden’s Page static while I make the changes.

I have been having problems with my blogs hosted by Blogger for a few days. I switched The Land of Ozz over to WordPress several months ago and I was considering a switch for all of my other blogs. (See list in sidebar) I didn’t move the others at the time for a couple of reasons. I wanted to maintain tough with another blogging software and I did not have the time.

Caden’s Page is the blog I am most concerned with switching over. I update Caden’s Page most frequently to keep friends and family up to date with what is going on with my youngest son and the rest of our immediate family. I send an email out to a list every time I update Caden’s Page to alert regular readers that Caden’s page has been updated. This has worked great for over a year, but now I will be posting updates for Caden’s Page to the Land of Ozz.

I have looked for help on Blogger’s support pages, but all I can find is this statement under Known Issues.

Republishing an entire blog will sometimes get stuck part way through and not finish, though new entries can still be published normally. We are working on improving the database performance to fix this error.

I have also experienced trouble posting even though they say I should have no problems with posting.

It looks like I am not the only one with Blogger issues. Mark Tapscott reports frustration with his post More Friggin’ Problems With Blogger!

Please be patient while I work through these technical issues with Blogger over at Caden’s Page. Anyone else who describes they have had enough with Blogger should contact me. I will help you port your blog over to a new technology and get it off of Blogger. I have space on my own domain (hoei.com) to host you if you don’t want to register your own domain name.
