Hey,
I really enjoy your blog! Thanks for your honest heart and truthfulness, it is refreshing to hear someone be real. Its cool to read about real people who serve Jesus.

I am a musician, and I would be honored if you would check out my music. All music on my site is free for download. Anyway, don't want to be a pest, I just thought that I'd share.

Thanks,
-Sean

"Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian[a] is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself." Galatians 6:1 (NIV)

Several comments have been moderated out of this post. One of my own comments was even removed. I have fallen into the same thing I am concerned about in this post. I started directing my concerns towards an individual in a public forum. I was wrong for doing that.

Consider this:

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22 37-40" (KJV)

That last verse says to me that if you find yourself doing anything that raises a questions as to your compliance to one of these two commandments, then you might want to reevaluate your words and actions. That is the message I am trying to convey here in this post. If you strive to be a committed Christian, then you can not go around with such hate a discontent about another man.

My comments in the post did allude to Matthew 18:15. I do not believe a Christian author, pastor, or teacher is exempt from this process.

I believe my concerns here in this post are valid. There are too many non-believers silently watching how Christians interact with each other.

Now, if you are a Christian and you feel that something written here or anywhere else is directed at you. Please take note. You were not named. The conviction you are feeling comes from within you. That conviction comes from the Holy Spirit.

As I read your post I was thinking, "Hey, it's a forum of free speach, isn't it? I mean, we are still granted First Ammendment rights, no?"

And then I read your last paragraph and was grossly ashamed.

"If you have a problem with your brother in Christ then you should take it to him in private."

OUCH! That's Bible!
I had not even considered the fact that when we become Christians we give up all of our earthly rights and willingly embrace slavery to Christ and His Word.

Honestly, sometimes I am just so........American!

I can guess the site you're speaking of. It has something to do with slicing and the church of Laodicea - right???
