PA,

I am sure we could pass references all day on the rights and wrongs of this war or any other. I could easily argue the point either way if I was asked to debate it.

BTW...Is there a particular reason why you choose not to identify yourself with a name?

I supported the war as well, and voted for Bush twice.

But, I changed my mind after I read this: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0976344807/

PA,

I am not at all impressed with Ron Paul's anti IRAQ stance. His "I told you so" message about IRAQ in grating on my nerves. I was fine with going to IRAQ and I want the US troops to stay until the job gets done. For em, that point alone is big enough for me to look elsewhere.

But isn't Ron Paul the only true-blue conservative (of the Barry Goldwater variety - Barry Goldwater's son has endorsed him) running on the Republican side?

I don't understand how you could be against someone who has a Congressional voting record of only voting based on what the Constitution allows for? This seems like a no-brainer to me...

Huckno, Thanks for the link. I found one thing on that site that helps my personal case for Huckabee. On immigration, I am not convinced that illegals can be forced out of this country by putting pressure on the employers the way Huckabee and Thompson suggest. I think that is likely to increase crime rates instead. I beleive in a path to citizenship for illegals that comes with some consequences.

Renee,

I am not settling for the lesser of two evils by a long shot. As stated above, Thompson is no better on immigration than Huckabee from MY perspective. Romney and Giuliani could just have easily run on the Democratic ticket. Faith and helath are two big concerns I have when it comes to Fred. Huckabee, well I wish he could be as strong in his faithg without having been a pastor. I want a man in office who beleives AND trusts in God to guide his life and our country on a daily basis. Huckabee is light years ahead of the pack on that subject. I just hope he can make that clear without freaking out the naysayers in this subject.
