Today we celebrate five years of Caden’s life. What a blessing we got on Election Day 2004. We had no idea where the journey would take us on that day, but now we know that God had a plan to do a wonderful work in our lives as well as many others. God has taught me lessons though the life of being Caden’s dad that I have a hard time imagining how I could have learned otherwise.

By the way…Caden was cleared to come off the home oxygen late last week. He is doing much better and continues to improve from the pneumonia that he was diagnosed with a couple of weeks ago. The picture above was taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway the day before we began Caden’s second hospital stay for pneumonia since August. Hehas been hospitalized a total of 12 days since contracting the H1N1 Swine Flu back in mid-August.
