Caden and Caden’s Page are six months old today. Caden is now up to 12 pounds 8 ounces and he is a little over 25 inches long. Caden is getting much better with his head control and is showing signs that he may roll over any day now. He plays with anything that he can reach and loves to inspect his hands when the there is nothing else close by. He shows signs of being very sensitive to loud noises, our facial expressions, and our tone of voice. He recently became very upset when I grimaced and said ouch while he was pulling my hair. He frowned, puckered and poked out his bottom lip. Then his bottom lip quivered a bit just before he let out a cry.

Caden is the most loving and cuddly child I have ever held. He has a beautiful smile and is a very happy baby.

I thank God every day for the blessings I have received from Caden so far. I am honored that God would choose me to take care of such a special little boy. Caden has taught me more than anyone could in six months and he has not yet spoke a word.

I am very grateful to all of you who have followed Caden’s story, prayed, cared, and helped in other ways. I would like to say thanks to you all by using Paul’s words found in Philippians 4:10-14 (NLT)

“How grateful I am, and how I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but for a while you didn’t have the chance to help me. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. But even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.”

May God bless you,
Hank O
